As part of IA's commitment to customer satisfaction and peace of mind, we're pleased to announce our partnership with the AA. All our vehicles are provided with roadside assistance by the AA.

We're proud to stand by our pledge to take the stress out of switching to an electric vehicle by doing all we can to make the move simple, accessible and sustainable.

We collaborate with the AA to provide you with the assistance of their expert Patrols. We will get you back on the road every day of the week, 24 hours a day, thanks to this vast network.

What is included

Services covered

24/7 assistance, 365 days a year, if the registered IA vehicle breaks down at home or at the roadside


Diagnosing and finding the fault with the vehicle.


Attempted repair of the fault.

Recovery to nearest authorised repairer

If the vehicle can’t be successfully repaired at the roadside, a recovery to the nearest authorised repairer or, alternatively, to a destination of the Authorised Drivers choice, provided it is no further.

Replacement, transportation or accommodation

If the vehicle can’t be successfully repaired at the roadside, 48 consecutive hours’ replacement vehicle or public transport costs or overnight accommodation.

What isn't included

• Faults due to lack of routine maintenance

• Recovery of more passengers than the eligible vehicle is legally able to carry (up to a max of 7)

• Transportation of livestock

• Assistance in the event of an accident or vandalism

• Assistance for the same or similar cause of breakdown attended by the AA in the previous 28 days (including running out of fuel or charge)

• Non-emergency repairs

• Rallying, off-road driving or motor sports

Here you can find some common queries regarding warranties.

Are there any restrictions on cover?

The driver must be with the vehicle at the point of breakdown and when resource arrives. The vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and with valid tax and MOT, and be under 3.5 tonnes and no wider than 2.55m.

Where am I covered?

Anywhere in the UK.

What are my obligations?

To keep your vehicle roadworthy. The driver must be with the vehicle at the time of the incident (breakdown) and when the resource arrives. To complete repairs in a timely manner following service notifications or previous Patrol attendance.

When does the cover start and end?

3 years from the date the vehicle was first registered with the DVLA.

8 Year/ 100,000 mile battery warranty

Standard battery warranty on all IA electric vans.
